Recently, a batch of high-performance shell and tube heat exchangers has been officially shipped. These units were fully designed and manufactured in strict compliance with the internationally recognized ASME Section VIII Division 1 (2023 Edition) code, confirming that their quality meets the highest safety standards for international pressure vessels.
To ensure structural integrity and reliability, all welds on the equipment underwent Full Radiographic Testing (Full RT), in accordance with the UW-51 standard of the ASME code.
Regarding material selection and construction, the shells and heads are fabricated from high-strength SA-516 Gr.70N steel plates, known for excellent low-temperature toughness and high-pressure resistance, ensuring a long service life under demanding conditions. To withstand harsh industrial environments, a corrosion allowance of 3 mm is provided for both the tube side and shell side. Furthermore, in accordance with UCS-56 and UW-2 requirements, Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) is not required during manufacturing.
