ASME SA516 Gr.70 Heat Exchanger Bottom Head

ASME SA516 Gr.70 heat exchanger bottom head is an ideal choice for medium and low temperature and non-strong corrosion conditions due to its high strength, good weldability and economy.
Heat exchanger bottom head:
When used as the bottom head of a shell and tube heat exchanger, it supports the tube bundle and distributes fluids (such as cooling water and oil products).
Such as the crude oil preheater of a refinery (temperature ≤300°C, sulfur-containing media need to increase the corrosion margin).
When used as the bottom head of a low-pressure storage tank (such as an LPG tank), liquid static pressure and seismic loads need to be considered.

Application of ASME SA516 Gr.70 Heat Exchanger Bottom Head
Shell and tube heat exchanger: as the bottom head of the heat exchanger, it supports the tube bundle and distributes the shell/tube media (such as cooling water, hydrocarbon fluid).
Refinery crude oil preheater: medium temperature ≤200°C, design pressure ≤3 MPa, and sulfur-containing crude oil needs to increase the corrosion margin (3~5 mm).
Hydrogenation reactor feed/discharge heat exchanger: withstand hydrogen environment, and require post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) to remove hydrogen.
Condenser and reboiler: liquefied natural gas (LNG) precooling: design temperature as low as -50°C, low-temperature impact toughness needs to be evaluated according to ASME UCS-66.
Waste heat boiler: gas turbine exhaust recovery: flue gas temperature ≤400°C, the head needs to withstand thermal cycle stress, and SA516 Gr.70 normalized plate is used.
Nuclear power plant auxiliary cooling system: non-radioactive fluid heat exchanger: design pressure ≤5 MPa, and must comply with ASME III grade container standards.
Chemical storage tanks: Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks: Design pressure 1.0~2.0 MPa, the head needs to pass the water pressure test (1.3 times the design pressure).
Food and pharmaceutical equipment: Aseptic heat exchanger: The inner surface is polished to Ra≤0.8 μm, in line with FDA hygiene standards.
