Built to the highest standards, including TEMA Class R and ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, this unit exemplifies robust engineering for critical heat transfer applications between process streams. Its primary function is to efficiently recover heat from Atmospheric Residue to preheat Desalted Crude Oil, significantly improving energy efficiency and operational economics in refinery processes.
The heat exchanger is built as a TEMA Type AES (externally sealed floating head) design, which is ideal for applications with a large temperature differential between the shell and tubes, allowing for thermal expansion without stress.
