ASME SA-179 seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel U-bend tubes are supplied for shell and tube heat exchanger, condenser and U tube bundle fabrication.
The base tubes are manufactured in accordance with the specified edition of ASME SA-179/SA-179M and the applicable general requirements of ASME SA-450/SA-450M. U-bend radius, straight leg length, tube pitch, dimensional tolerances, post-bending inspection and additional testing are controlled according to the approved drawing and purchase order.

The SA-179 base tubes are produced by the seamless process and cold drawn. After the final cold-drawing pass, the base tubes are heat treated at a temperature of at least 1200°F / 650°C.
