ASME SB111 C44300 Seamless U Bend Tube Used In Condensers And Heat Exchangers

 

 

 

ASME SB111 specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, and test methods for seamless copper alloy tubes used in condensers, heat exchangers, and related equipment.

 

The C44300 copper alloy grade refers to commonly used naval brass. It has excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and is a classic material for traditional seawater condensers. As a copper alloy, it has excellent thermal conductivity, making it ideal for heat exchange applications.

 

Its hardness facilitates bending into U-shaped tubes. These are typically used in shell-and-tube heat exchangers or condensers. The U-shaped bend allows the tubes to expand and contract freely due to thermal expansion, saving space and allowing for more compact heat exchanger designs.
