Technical Parameters

The BEU-type Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger (Fixed Tubesheet with U-tube bundle) designed for horizontal installation. This unit is specifically engineered to function as a Thermosyphon Reboiler for stabilizer columns.

Total Effective Surface Area: 248 m².

Tube Bundle Configuration: Consists of 680 seamless tubes with a diameter of 3/4″ and a straight length of 6096 mm.

Fluid Service: The shell side processes Hydrocarbons, while the tube side utilizes Cooling Water.

Material Integrity: Components are constructed from high-grade carbon steel, including SA-516 Gr. 70N for the shell and SA-179 (Annealed) for the exchange tubes.

Construction Quality: Features 100% Full Radiography (Joint Efficiency 1.00) and mandatory Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) to ensure structural durability in high-stress environments.

Connection & Piping Specifications

The unit features precision-machined connections to facilitate seamless integration into refinery piping systems:

Inlet/Outlet (Shell Side): Equipped with NPS 8″ 150# Weld Neck Flanges (RF-ASME B16.5) with a SCH. 80 rating and a 125 RMS smooth finish.

Inlet/Outlet (Tube Side): Utilizes NPS 6″ 150# Weld Neck Flanges (FF-ASME B16.5).

Instrumentation & Auxiliary: High-pressure 6000# NPT Couplings (ASME B16.11) are provided for pressure and temperature monitoring (Items PI2.1).

Sealing: All flanges and lapped joints are finished to 125 RMS to ensure leak-proof performance under the specified operating pressure of 970.8 kPa (Shell) and 402.1 kPa (Tube).
