ASME SB111 C44300 is a specification under the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards, focusing on seamless copper and copper-alloy tubes, widely used in heat exchangers, condensers, and power plant applications. The C44300 alloy is commonly referred to as Admiralty Brass due to its specific composition and corrosion-resistant properties. When manufactured in U-bend configurations, this material is ideal for heat-transfer systems.

    • Copper (Cu): ~70%
    • Zinc (Zn): ~28-29% (acts as the alloying agent for strength and durability)
    • Tin (Sn): ~0.8-1.2% (added to improve corrosion resistance, especially against saltwater)
    • Contains small quantities of arsenic (As) (~0.02-0.06%), which helps prevent dezincification.
    • Lead (Pb) content is minimal, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
