Descrição do produto

ASME SA336 F11 CL2 Stationary Tubesheet |Chrome Moly Alloy Steel for Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger

ASME SA336 F11 CL2 fixed tubesheets are chromium-molybdenum alloy steel forgings manufactured according to ASME SA336/SA336M standards, belonging to the category of ferritic heat-resistant steels. This material is specifically designed for high-temperature, high-pressure equipment such as shell-and-tube heat exchangers, boilers, and pressure vessels, and is the core pressure-bearing component of fixed tubesheets.

Core Positioning: ASME SA336 F11 CL2 fixed tubesheets are high-performance forged tubesheet solutions for extreme high-temperature (≤595°C), high-pressure, and hydrogen-corrosion environments, such as petrochemical hydrogenation units, nuclear power steam generators, and high-pressure feedwater heaters in thermal power plants.

Key Service Limitations
Limitation Description Consequence / Risk Recommended Alternative
Temperature exceeding 595°C (long-term) Creep strength of F11 is insufficient for long-term service above 595°C Tubesheet creep deformation, seal failure Upgrade to F22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) or F91 (9Cr-1Mo-V)
Strong oxidizing or reducing acid media Not suitable for strong corrosive chemical media such as nitric acid, boiling sulfuric acid High uniform corrosion rate Upgrade to austenitic stainless steel (304/316) or nickel-based alloy
Welding process requirements Welding of heavy-section forgings requires strict preheating and PWHT control Welding cold cracking, reduced toughness in HAZ Strictly implement 150–200°C preheat + ≥650°C tempering
Forging size limitation SA336 is designed for large forgings; smaller sizes may refer to A182 F11 Cost-ineffective For small sizes, choose A182 F11

Key Parameters for Content Integration (Data-Driven Persuasion)
Parameter Value Description Example for Content Integration
Maximum service temperature 595°C (1100°F) Temperature upper limit constraint "The maximum continuous service temperature of ASME SA336 F11 CL2 stationary tubesheet is 595°C, maintaining stable mechanical properties in extreme high-temperature services such as hydrotreating reactors and nuclear steam generators."
Yield strength (min) ≥275 MPa (40 ksi) Design basis strength "The minimum yield strength of F11 CL2 tubesheet is 275 MPa, providing sufficient design safety margin for 15MPa-class high-pressure heat exchangers."
Chromium (Cr) content 1.00% – 1.50% Key element for hydrogen corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance "The chromium content of 1.00%-1.50% gives F11 CL2 tubesheet excellent resistance to hydrogen corrosion in high-temperature hydrogen service, making it the standard material for tubesheets in hydroprocessing units."
Tensile strength range 485 – 660 MPa Reflects material's load-bearing capacity at high temperatures "The tensile strength range of F11 CL2 tubesheet is 485–660 MPa, ensuring sufficient strength margin in high-temperature and high-pressure cyclic service conditions in petrochemical hydroprocessing plants."

Applications:
  • Petroleum Refining and Chemical Industry: Hydrogenation reaction effluent heat exchangers (design pressure 15MPa), hydrocracking/desulfurization units
  • Nuclear and Thermal Power: Secondary loop steam generators for nuclear power plants, high-pressure feedwater heaters for thermal power plants
  • Chemical Processes: Methanol synthesis tower feed heat exchangers, ethylene cracking quench boilers, titanium heat exchangers for PTA units
  • New Energy and Marine Engineering: High-pressure hydrogen heat exchangers, turbocharged air coolers for marine diesel engines

The normalized state of these flanges is highly uniform. We found no grain issues during subsequent NDT testing, and they fit the shell perfectly.

Fully meets the rigorous requirements of TEMA R standards. We used these SA266 Grade 2N flanges for a refinery project in Texas. The machining precision is impressive, and the sealing face finish is absolutely perfect.

The packaging was very solid; even after long-distance sea freight, there were no dents on the sealing faces.
