Industrial air coolers play a crucial role in the power industry, mainly used for equipment cooling and energy conservation.Compared with traditional water - cooling systems, air coolers do not require a large amount of water resources, reducing water waste and environmental impact. Its structural components include finned tube bundles, the core components determining heat transfer efficiency. The finned tube structure enlarges the heat transfer area, thereby enhancing the heat exchange performance.
In industrial air cooler applications, the mainstream finned tube types cover wound finned tubes as well as embedded finned tubes.
Wound G Finned Tubes Advantages
  • High Heat Transfer Efficiency: Wound G fins are tightly and evenly wrapped around the base tube with a spiral structure, which maximizes the effective heat transfer area under the same tube length. The G-shaped fin profile optimizes air flow field distribution, reduces air side resistance, and enhances the convective heat transfer coefficient between fins and cooling air.
  • Excellent Structural Stability & Connection Tightness:The winding process ensures tight bonding between G fins and the base tube, with no obvious gap at the contact interface. This avoids heat transfer resistance caused by loose connection, and effectively prevents fin detachment or loosening during long-term high-temperature, high-velocity air operation.
  • Strong Corrosion & Wear Resistance:Wound G finned tubes can be processed with surface anti-corrosion treatments (such as galvanizing, epoxy coating) according to industrial media requirements.
