ASTM B283 C70620 CuNi 90/10 Copper Alloy Steel Flange For Marine And Offshore Engineering

 

ASTM B283, corresponding to ASME SB283, is a standard specification for copper and copper alloy forgings, applicable to copper and copper alloy forgings produced by hot pressing, including flanges, fittings, and other pressure-bearing components. UNS C70620 is a 90/10 copper-nickel alloy (90% copper - 10% nickel), optimized for welding applications and marine conditions based on the standard 90-10 copper-nickel alloy UNS C70600, with impurity control improvements.
 
The standard explicitly states: "Copper Alloys UNS Nos. C70620 and C71520 are for product intended for welding applications"—this is a core distinction between C70620 and the general-purpose C70600 material.
 
ASTM B283 C70620 flanges are high-performance copper-nickel alloy forged flange solutions for marine engineering, seawater pipeline systems, desalination equipment, and chemical corrosion-resistant pipelines. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and stable mechanical properties in seawater environments.

Fully meets the rigorous requirements of TEMA R standards. We used these SA266 Grade 2N flanges for a refinery project in Texas. The machining precision is impressive, and the sealing face finish is absolutely perfect.
