The ASME SA266 Gr.2N Tube Side Flange is a forged steel flange manufactured according to ASME standards for the tube side of shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
This flange is a sealing component used to connect equipment to piping, or between two pieces of equipment.
As a carbon steel forging used in pressure vessels, this product offers excellent pressure resistance and heat resistance.
The Gr.2N material grade and heat treatment state offer good overall performance and moderate cost; N indicates normalizing, a necessary heat treatment that refines the grain size, eliminates forging stress, and stabilizes performance.
This flange can be installed on the tube side of a heat exchanger. Heat exchangers have a tube side (inside the tube bundle) and a shell side (inside the shell), and the tube-side flange is used to connect the tube bundle to the external piping.
